Play Interfaces of SCOOT

Each game interface can be categorised as authentic (artefacts of place), appropriated (combinations of place and game artefacts), interventions/installations (game only artefacts) or personal (mobile phones).

This is almost a linear and transformative process, taking players from ‘normal’ interactions with museum historic artefacts to, at times, outrageous carnival interactions with fictional subversions of the facts. By beginning with authentic interfaces SCOOT acknowledged the traditional artefacts and practices of the site in which it is hosted…. and then offers alternative perspectives about how the sites can inspire many different interactions and creative intentions.
